A teacher was picking up a Hershey KISS at my table and I told her
that the piece of candy represents netTrekker because we Keep
Internet Searching Simple, and help you find the resources you need
for your teaching goals and the students' learning style. She then
told me about how she gets so excited about the new year, and then,
one week in she starts to get the winter blahs and are really need
of a pick up. Learning a new tidbit of information about netTrekker
was her pick up, and she walked away with a smile.
But why stop at just sharing these tidbits at conferences? We need
to share them with YOU! To do so, we have started a webinar series
called, "netTrekker Tip Tuesdays". Every Tuesday at 4 PM EST,
starting January 26th, we will share a 30 minute session on how to
use netTrekker. They might feature one of us here at netTrekker, or
one of our many wonderful educators who are actually using the
program. You can find a list of February sessions on the events
page or on our netTrekker Tip Tuesdays page. These will be recorded
sessions, and uploaded to netTrekker Village's Video page.

We also have a few discussions that are geared towards how to use
netTrekker. One netTrekker Nugget with tips for integration or
things you need to know to help with implementation. I would love
for people to add their thoughts there. The other new discussion is
an extension of FETC and a look ahead at an upcoming training I
have with integrating netTrekker with cool tools. Other great
discussions are on the board as well, so check them out. Speaking
of FETC, we gave away our brand new t shirt to those who attended
our SeaWorld Event or came to a booth presentation. We'd like to
give one away to those who didn't have a chance to attend the
conference. Let's give one away to a lucky village member who
either attends the first Tuesday Tips Webinar or replies to a
discussion. Peter Glovin of BrainPOP is also interested in the
answer to how you are using BrainPOP and netTrekker and would love
to support Ruth Manlandro's session on BrainPOP, so he's going to
add to that a second winner for a Moby hat. Here's Peter modeling
the hat here in Cobb County. So let's get rid of those winter blahs
and connect by sharing and learning together here on netTrekker
Village! Danielle Abernethy
