NECC Scholarship

netTrekker d.i. wants to send you to NECC '09 in Washington, D.C. June 28-July 1!

We understand the difficulties with funding concerns and cutbacks for out-of-state travel. We want to help! netTrekker d.i. will award two $1500 scholarships to assist educators with conference registration, travel expenses, etc., to NECC '09.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to any current netTrekker d.i. subscriber as of April 29, 2009.

Scholarships Awarded

Two scholarships will be awarded on April 29, 2009, to give winners time to take advantage of NECC '09 early bird registration that ends May 1.

Requirements

Submit a project for students using 21st Century Skills designed in My Portfolio. Your My Portfolio submission must include:

• The standard(s) that your project addresses.
• At least one resource from netTrekker d.i. (resource can be a website, a timeline, a famous person search, or an image).
• A template (User-Defined Template or Digital Literacy Template) with directions for your project.

Submission Deadline

All entries must be submitted by midnight Pacific Time on April 15, 2009. Up to 5 entries per participant will be accepted.

Selection

Entries will be judged on meeting the Requirements, on creativity, and incorporating 21st century skills. Winners will be selected by a committee of netTrekker management and content editors and notified on April 29, 2009. NECC Presentation

Winners will present their lesson in the netTrekker d.i. booth at NECC '09 during a 30-minute presentation, to be scheduled on Monday, June 29, or Tuesday, June 30.

Copying Your Project Folder's URL in My Portfolio

Once your folder is complete and ready for submission:

• Click on the folder within My Portfolio that contains your project.
• Copy the URL from the browser address bar as shown below.
• Paste the URL when submitting your project.
