"I was impressed that students would have home access to the best of the web, since that is when many of them do their Internet research or browsing. The ability to choose resources by readability level and the read-aloud options are also popular features. Our administrators, students, and parents have been very enthusiastic, and our statistics prove it. We recently hit one million views countywide in less than a year!"

“As the computer lab K-5 teacher in Onsted, I would like to say that netTrekker is the best research tool to hit the Net for our students!

We have completed several searches for projects using netTrekker. Third graders researched Michigan facts and Michigan agriculture. Second graders learned about their animals for a book they are making. Many students are using NetTrekker at home to help with school work. Its safe search modes and links to academic web sites that have been screened are bringing a wealth of information quickly to the students.”

My students are always looking for graphics online to use with PowerPoint, Inspiration or Word projects. Before netTrekker d.i. I ran into several inappropriate pictures even with the filter turned on in Google™.

I had to ban the practice of importing graphics to projects. Now my students can add great graphics to their projects with help from netTrekker d.i.'s Image search and it’s worry free. My students' projects have never looked better!

"Your netTrekker product has power. netTrekker d.i. can be useful for more than helping teachers find resources for group instruction, but it also gives the students themselves the power to find ideas on their own at their level of ability. This achieves the level of differentiation of reading content that will really make a difference. I am interested in students working more independently, with less dependence on the teacher. netTrekker d.i. can help me with this.

I have suggested that teachers throw out study guides that direct students to the textbook and instead ask students to go into netTrekker d.i. at any level of their choosing and find images and ideas about the topic that the teacher will be presenting the next day. Rather than filling in a study guide from a book the students can't read or find boring/confusing, let students explore a topic with more freedom, just as they used to do when they were very young and loved to learn.

Also, Special Ed students can have all of the netTrekker d.i. information read to them.

Parent access is also a key feature. At the secondary level, parents don't know how to help their students. Giving them netTrekker d.i. and the task of randomly helping their children find ideas, visually, in text, audio, etc. is one way to bring them into the academic help system."

”I am a middle school science/language arts teacher in Troy and I just wanted to tell you that the netTrekker d.i. website is incredible! I showed it to all in our building and cannot tell you the number of overwhelmingly positive responses I received! Everyone just loves it!

I spent the entire morning during my prep searching for things and I was able to find what I needed in less than half the time it would have taken me using another search engine.”

"I use netTrekker d.i. with my elementary students on a regular basis. My favorite tool is the refinement menu that lets you refine the search by videos, by grade level, etc. I have grades 1st-5th in the lab and each class has different needs. I am able to refine my search based on exactly what they need and on what I want them to see. I really love netTrekker d.i. for all of my students' research needs."
