U.S. DOE looking for great examples of continuity of learning during H1N1 absences.

The US Department of ED is looking for examples of how a school district or schools have ensured the continuity of learning (hard copy packets, distance learning, etc.) during absences due to H1N1. If you have examples of what your school or district is doing to prepare for a large number of absences, please reply to this discussion so that we can all learn from each other, and we here at netTrekker will pass on the information to the contact from the DOE.

This would be a great reason to use the netTrekker My Portfolio Tool. Teachers can create project folders with their assignments for students, including links to lessons or quizzes from subscriptions such as DiscoveryStreaming, movie clips from their subscription to BrainPOP, links to worksheets created at 4teachers.org and more. Didn't think about using it for the home bound students that teachers might not be able to visit due to the nature of the sickness. I need to suggest this in future trainings.
