Research Groups
I am so excited about using Nettrekker as our main search engine for upcoming group project. I usually have to provide students with numerous sites so that I know they are getting useful search time. Using nettrekker will cut my research time in half and allow me to work on other areas. It will also provide students with "good" information to help their projects be the best they can be.

I agree, Amanda. At a tech training the other day, we showed a social studies teacher how to refine searches and use the timeline feature in Nettrekker. He was amazed and mentioned how much time could be saved just using Nettrekker... Teachers always need more time.

I totally agree also! As an Art teacher, I feel I am constantly searching for specific images and information and now knowing about Nettrekker my search time will be cut in half. I plan on using many of the new websites I have found on Nettrekker on my projector in the classroom. I know it will be a great learning and teaching tool for me and my students.

Today, I co-taught in a history class that was reporting on the fall of the Roman Empire. Before 4th period started, the teacher informed me that there were 4 special ed. students in her class.
We taught the students how to refine their readibility level on netTrekker. It really cut down on the number of web sites they had to search through. No students complained that the material they found was too difficult. We will find out when they start creating their slide shows tomorrow!

I'm about to start a project here at netTrekker's home-base to see if we can measure the time-savings netTrekker provides to teachers as they plan and prepare for lessons and for students as they work through research projects.
Any suggestions on points to focus on? Anyone interested in being a case study?
Would love to work with you to take your story to other teachers so they too can enjoy a little time-savings!
